In Ballads of Hongye the province of Hongye has long been ignored by the Emperor and has fallen into ruin. You have now been tasked with restoring it to its former glory and to do so you’ll be able to invest, build, research, industrialise and make important political decisions. You’ll have to decide whether to put progress ahead of the people, and you’ll recruit advisors to help you lead your country to greatness. You don’t only need to worry about the will of the people, but mother nature too – with many kinds of natural disasters (such as droughts, famines, fires, floods) that can shake up your best laid plans.
