Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a very stylish and narrative-rich action RPG adventure from the creators of Zeno Clash and Rock of Ages.

Currently in development by ACE Team (creators of Zeno Clash, Abyss Odyssey and Rock of Ages), Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is a surreal fantasy punk action RPG where your fists and speed are your greatest weapons. It takes place in the same universe as the Zeno Clash games (though is a totally separate standalone adventure), and follows the story of a reclusive martial artist who crosses paths with a small boy and a strange creature with mysterious powers. It seems they have attracted the unwanted attention of the Mistress of the Artefacts, so you set out to protect them from her.

The combat in Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is martial arts focused and sees you using melee attacks, dodges, stuns, blocks, counters, parrys and special attacks to get the best of your opponents. The majority of the game is in third person, but you can switch to first-person to carry out special techniques. As you progress you’ll learn more abilities and upgrade your stats.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos is playable in single-player or online co-op. Interestingly, chance will play a big part in encounters too, with you and your rival completing a dice-based ritual before a battle, and the winner can define the rules of the encounter. This can include environmental factors such as fog or using shackles to limit character movement, or even summoning an ally to aid in battle.
