Beta signups are now live for Soccer Story, a physics-based narrative-driven RPG where where you set out on a world-changing adventure with a magic soccer ball!
Currently in development by PanicBarn (creators of the Not Tonight games), Soccer Story takes place in a world that has all but forgotten soccer thanks to The Calamity™ and the nefarious organization called Soccer Inc. Stadiums are all shut down and soccer is banned across the world, but you and your magic ball may be about to breathe life back into the beautiful game.
Soccer Story will see you exploring the world, meeting interesting characters and using your soccer skills to solve puzzles, complete quests, discover secrets and defeat rivals in 1v1 battles. And if you fancy taking a break from the single player adventure, you and three friends can have a kickabout in local multiplayer matches with a full roster of teams and cute animal captains.
It’s a delightful looking game that looks set to channel the same sporting RPG style of gameplay as Golf Story. The pixel art visuals look adorable and the ball physics look great too. It all makes for a much more exciting soccer experience than yet another FIFA game!
