Konami says ‘never say never’ to a 2000s TMNT collection

TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection recently released on Switch, and it’s a huge dose of nostalgia for older Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. The collection packs in 13 classic TMNT games from the 90s era, but that’s certainly not the entire library of Turtles games, especially when you get to the 2000s era.

Now that we’ve seen a mega-grouping of 90s TMNT games in one package, could we hope to see the same thing happen to some of the 2000s games? NintendoEverything spoke to Konami producer Charles Murakami to find out, and their response was at least somewhat encouraging.

“Never say never! I’ve waited decades for a TMNT Collection, and seeing other fans share my desire to see this project come together is one of the greatest moments in my career. Although sometimes the stars have to align for a project to come together, I’m encouraged when you see fans nudging those stars into place.”
