‘NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy’ Manages a City by Answering Questions
Set in a beautiful cyberpunk world, NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy sees you acting as an AI who has been designed to help manage a city. But will you be good at it?
Humans are all around you, testing your answers to questions and trying to understand if you will be a good keeper of the world. You’ll need to prove yourself through what you decide before you get far.
In this game, you can build up relationships between different parts of the city while trying to balance what is best for everyone. The decisions you make reveal a branching story that continues to develop as you play the game. Choices that initially seemed small (or where you felt your hand was pushed in a direction you may not have wanted to go) will, in the end, come back to haunt you.
Answering questions is what you will do each day in NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy. Then, you will watch how your decisions play out. When picking your options, you get two choices that have small symbols to show what you will effect. Once you have made your choice, it will either turn red or green depending on if you gain or lose something in that specific category. Some questions are bigger than others, with little narrative things that will tell you the result to the city or to the people around you.
NeuroNet: Mendax Proxy has wonderful voice acting, both for you and the various scientists and characters that interact with you. You are also able to see into other events happening in the building you are in. This will help you to better understand the parent company that created you and the dynamic between people in the company, which can help you get a better understanding of the deeper story. It’s shaping up to be a lovely game that is well worth your time.
