Quidditch Won’t be Playable in Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy promises to give players the experience of being an actual Hogwarts student, but one element from the Wizarding World won’t be available for play.

According to IGN, the official FAQ for the game has confirmed that you won’t be able to play Quidditch—the fictional in-game sport played in brooms.

Though Quidditch won’t be playable in the game, players can still traverse with brooms and even race other students. I guess when it comes to Quidditch, the developers would have had to work an entirely new system that could very much be its own game.

I mean, they already made a Quidditch game back in the PlayStation 2 era:

Who knows, maybe a Quidditch expansion could be available down the line, but in the meantime, players will just have to stick to what the game has to offer—which is still pretty massive.

Become the student you have always wanted to be as you experience life at Hogwarts and embark on a journey through the wizarding world. Discover magical beasts, craft potions, and master spell casting as you uncover the mystery of Ancient Magic.

Hogwarts Legacy is set to launch on Feb. 10, 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. No release date has been announced for the Nintendo Switch version.
