New Retrogaming Bar opens in Birmingham area ! | GamesYouLoved
Remember those Friday nights when you used to hookup with your mates, hit the arcades, play games and have a few beers? Well the good times are back in Sutton Coldfield!
LVL:1 has been going since it opened its doors around Xmas time in the Gracechurch Centre, it is a fully licensed bar giving us gamers somewhere to hook up and play games and try and relive our early years!
The bar has been fully redecorated since taking over from the previous owners. They have kitted out the premises with an industrial “GamesMaster” feel with an industrial look and the place has subtle lighting to give it the more arcade feel of old….(no dodgy carpets though we’re afraid!)
There is more to LVL:1 too, on the weekends DJ’s are brought in to spin some tunes (hopefully some childhood hits) , the booths are fitted up with LCD screens to play all your favourite games from Mario Kart to Street Fighter.
We hear they even have a VIP room with a projector screen for hire so you and your party can game to the early hours in comfort and to the max!
We think this is definitely what we would like to see more of around the UK. Not just bars but places to hang out with games and meet just like the good old days.
