Midnight Suns Deep Dive Explores the Hunter’s Skill Set
Marvel’s Midnight Suns game has been giving us deep-dives on more established heroes like Wolverine and Spider-Man, but this week has them giving us a look at the game’s central protagonist, the Hunter a.k.a. the child of Lilith a.k.a. the Mother of Demons.
Watch this:
Being the child of Lilith doesn’t come without its consequences, so players are given the option to customize Hunter based on their affiliation to Light or Darkness. Focusing on the Light abilities for Hunter makes them a proficient support character for the entire team, but putting emphasis on Darkness makes Hunter a devastating powerhouse that can blow everyone in the enemy team away.
Besides being able to customize their appearance, Hunter can be modified to function how the player wants to play the game, and even if you focus on entirely one branch, there are still chances to get the ultimate abilities from the other branch that can help with encounters in the future.
I guess the deep-dive also confirms that Hunter’s pet hell hound Charlie is also available to summon in the game, and though he only helps out for two turns, you can actually upgrade his card so that he can stay around for an extra turn. Pair that up with the heroic ability to keep your card after use, and Charlie can be around causing havoc for a longer time.
After centuries of sleep, Lilith, Mother of Demons, has been revived by Hydra through a twist of dark magic and science. Lilith is determined to bring back her evil master, Chthon, and when Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases, you’ll be the world’s best hope of stopping her. Fortunately, you won’t be alone. As the Hunter, a legendary demon slayer with a mysterious past, you’ll fight alongside the Midnight Suns – an unlikely group of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors. They can’t defeat Lilith without you, so to help you plan for the battles ahead we’ve put together a Marvel’s Midnight Suns game guide.
No specific release date has been set for Marvel’s Midnight Suns since it was delayed, but the game is expected to launch early 2023 for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
