Atari reveals a new console | GamesYouLoved
After 20+ years since the fated Atari Jaguar a new console is set to release from Atari.
The idea behind the new consoles are to hark back to the very original Atari 2600 consoles – the Woody and Darth Vader design of the 1970s but with a 2017 kick. Here are some exclusive new pictures revealed by Atari today (17.7.17)
The actual detail on the console is still very much a secret but we do know a few things:
– Atari design elements (such as the iconic use of wood, ribbed lines, and raised back) are included to give the nostalgic lovers of consoles a nice addition to their collection
– front panel that can be either wood or glass, a front facing logo, indicator lights that glow through the material
– the tech spec is yet to be revealed however – ports such as HDMI, 4xUSB, SD will be included
– two editions: a wood edition, and a black/red edition
– the games will come from the massive back catalogue of Atari games
