How to Evolve Graveler into Golem in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you’ll join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
In the game, there are certain Pokemon that the player cannot or are hard to catch in the wild. One of the methods to catch these Pokemon is through evolution. One of these Pokemon is Golem, and in this guide, you will learn how to evolve Graveler into a Golem!
Graveler into Golem
Golem is a Rock and Ground-type Megaton Pokemon that looks like a boulder and a tortoise. It has a spherical body covered by a sturdy shell of green plated rocks, a brown head with red eyes, and a flat snout. It also has two pointed teeth sticking out of the center of the shell, brown short arms with three claws each, and brown legs with four claws in the front and one claw in the back. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Golem’s rock-like shell sheds every year, and the discarded shell crumbles and regresses to the soil, which can be used and spread across fields to promote crop growth.
Golem can be found in Bolderoll Ravine, which is in the western part of the Coronet Highlands. Players can find it in this location at all times. It is worth noting, however, that the Golem that can be found in the location mentioned above is a Level 60 Alpha Pokemon. Aside from that, the player may also find it in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Cobalt Coastlands, and Coronet Highlands.
However, if you would rather obtain a Golem through evolution, the player can catch one by evolving a Graveler using a Linking Cord. First, the player should know where to find a Graveler.
Graveler
The player can find a Graveler in the Obsidian Fieldlands (in the Oreburrow Tunnel and Sandgem Flats), in the Crimson Mirelands (in Gapejaw Bog, Scarlet Bog, Bolderoll Slope, and Ursa’s Ring), in the Cobalt Coastlands (in Windbreak Stand, Spring Path, Islespy Shore, and Firespit Island), in the Coronet Highlands ( in Heavenward Lookout, Clamberclaw Cliffs, Celestica Ruins, and Balderoll Ravine), and in the Alabaster Icelands (in the Snowpoint Temple). It can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition. It is worth mentioning that the one players can find north of the Obsidian Falls is a Level 30 Alpha Pokemon. You can also find Graveler in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands, Cobalt Coastlands, and Coronet Highlands.
If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Graveler’s preferred foods are Crunchy Salts.
Suppose you plan on battling a Graveler first before catching it. In that case, it is worth noting that, as mentioned, Graveler is a Rock and Ground type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fighting-type, Ground-type, Ice-type, Steel-type, and especially Grass-type and Water-type moves (super effective), resistance to Fire-type, Flying-type, Normal-type, Rock-type, and especially Poison-type moves (not very effective), and an immunity to Electric type moves (not very effective).
Linking Cord
Now that the player has caught a Graveler, a Linking Cord is all that is needed to evolve a Graveler into Golem. There are several ways that players can obtain a Linking Cord:
The player can purchase a Linking Cord for 8,000 Pokemon Dollars from Ginter at the Gingko Guild Shop between the Galaxy Hall and the player’s headquarters. However, Ginter will call it a Mysterious Cord. Unfortunately, the items that the Gingko Guild Merchants sell are not the same all the time, so purchasable items may vary. To change the items that Ginter is selling, the player must first catch 20 Pokemon.
Additionally, the player can also purchase a Linking Cord from the Trading Post near the Training Grounds for 1,000 Merit Points. The player can earn Merit Points by returning lost satchels all over the Hisui region.
Other than that, the player may find some Linking Cord on the ground inside of Space-Time Distortions, so check out the items inside them.
Alternatively, the player will be rewarded with a Linking Cord for completing the “Getting to Know the Ghosts” Request (request 64). The player can start this request by talking to Ward near the bridge in front of the Galaxy Hall in Jubilife Village after receiving the “Scaling Perilous Heights” Mission (mission 11) and catching a Gastly to add it to the player’s Pokedex.
Finally, Golem!
After catching a Graveler and obtaining a Linking Cord, the player can now evolve a Graveler into a Golem!
To do that, this is what the player must do:
- Put the player’s Graveler in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps and selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village.
- Then, ensure that the Linking Cord is in the player’s Satchel. If not, the player can access the Item Storage in any of the Base Camps or the Item Storage near the Front Gate in the northeastern part of Jubilife City and move the Linking Cord to the player’s Satchel.
- After that, return to the game and press the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
- Select the Linking Cord, select “Use” on the prompt, then select Graveler from the player’s party to use the Linking Cord on Graveler.
- Confirm on the prompt to evolve Graveler then, just like that, Graveler will evolve into a Golem!
Now that the player has a Golem, the player can now try to use the Golem to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
