Niantic delays Elite Raid Eggs in Pokémon GO until after Community Day event
Elite Raid Eggs were originally scheduled to make their debut in Pokémon GO today, October 15th, 2022. Now, they’ll still be available today, but a few hours later than expected. These eggs take 24 hours to hatch, and result in a special limited Raid that players can engage with in person for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the appearance of the Elite Raid Eggs happened to overlap with today’s Community Day event. The event is designed to increase the appearance of Lampent, and the Elite eggs would have interfered with that.
Niantic has recognized this clashing schedule, and has therefore delayed the release of the Elite Raid Eggs until 6:00 pm local time, just after the Community Day event has ended. The eggs will still hatch the following day, October 16th, at their originally scheduled local times of 11:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 5:00 pm.
