CRETE is a third person biopunk action adventure that explores themes of transhumanism and allows you to use alien DNA to build procedural weapons.
Playable in single-player and cooperative or competitive multiplayer, CRETE is a biopunk action adventure set on a procedurally generated alien planet called Kepler0. In the game you take on the role of an alien whose species are involved in an ongoing battle with a race of larger aliens called the Ancestors. On your adventures you’ll explore Kepler0, discover its secrets, battle the Ancestors and find lost artefacts. When you die you transition to a new body, but you have a chance of saving your rewards to aid future runs.
The combat looks fun and the biopunk setting and humanoid alien design is fondly reminisent of Prometheus. The CRETE playtest is live right now and will run until 23rd of October 23:59 CET, so jump in now to explore a brave new world and blast things with weird alien guns!
