SEGA once again commits to reboots, remasters and remakes

SEGA has said a few times now that they were interested in returning to some of their older IP for new projects, be it reboot, remaster or remake. Since making those statements, SEGA has followed through by releasing things like Sonic Origins, Streets of Rage 4, House of the Dead: Remake and many others. Seems like it’s a winning strategy, as SEGA has once again committed to the same plan going forward.

In SEGA’s most recent financial update for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the company said they plan to “capitalize effectively” on their IP going forward. Specifically, SEGA said to expect more remakes, remasters, and reboots, and they’ll be available to purchase via “subscription-based services and other forms of monetization across multiple channels.”

Of course, SEGA didn’t share any specifics on the franchises they’re looking to return to, be it for a revival or a refresh of something already released. What SEGA-related franchises would you like to see the company show some love to?
