NES Works takes a look back at Lunar Ball & Karateka

Karateka and Lunar Ball are two games for the NES that you might have heard about over the years, but never actually played. There’s been a few opportunities to do so since these games initially released, including Virtual Console inclusions and other digital distributions, so it’s not too late to get in on them!

While Karateka certainly holds an important place in game history, the game itself hasn’t really survived the test of time. Yes, there’s fun to be had, but it’ll be a frustrating experience at the same time. On the flip side, while Lunar Ball might not look too exciting, the game is actually quite fun and holds up very well decades later.

Have you spent time with either of these games over the years? Where did you first play them?
