Sonic Frontiers Prologue cracks its knuckles
With the blue bolt shooting towards his newest adventure, we’ve been treated to a unique insight into the game’s setting with the 2D animated Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Divergence. Focusing on Knuckles, he discusses his lonely guardianship over Angel Island’s master emerald and every living creature in the land.
Delving deeper into the mistakes made by Knuckles’ ancestors, we face some interesting questions – whose power did his ancestors seek to take? Who built the shrines to the emeralds, and where are they now? Well, when he comes across an unfamiliar, ancient ruin and an odd mechanism at its heart, Knuckles finds himself transported to a strange new world that may offer him the answers to some of his questions – as well as asking some new ones.

This new adventure sees Sonic sucked into a bizarre cyber space, separated from his pals. Guided by a mysterious voice, he must reunite with his friends and uncover the secrets hidden on the island. Hopefully, we’ll get some answers about Knuckles’ story in the process.
