Pokemon Scarlet/Violet 3D billboard spotted in Shinjuku

We’re one week out from the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which means the marketing machine has kicked into high gear. Earlier today we saw Sprigatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco pop up at Nintendo NY, but it appears they’re pulling double duty on the other side of the world!

As you can see in the video above, a new 3D billboard for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet has been spotted in Shinjuku, Japan. The billboard ad plays out as a 15-second commercial that features Sprigatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco. We get to see all three Pokemon in action, and then the games’ official logos swoop in.

These 3D billboards are fun to see in video and through pictures, but the effect is really sold in person. Unfortunately, video is the best we can do, but if you’re lucky enough to be in/around Shinjuku over the next week, swing by and check this out!
