Persona 5 Royal reaches over 3 million units sold
Persona 5 Royal came to the Switch on October 21st, 2022, finally giving Nintendo fans a chance to see what the multi-award winning game was all about. Not surprisingly, plenty of Switch owners flocked to the game to give it a go. Roughly one month after launch, the game had sold 1 million units worldwide. Now 2+ months after launch, that figure has increased quite considerably.
Atlus has confirmed that Persona 5 Royal has now reached 3.3 million units sold worldwide. This figure obviously includes data from other platforms, and unfortunately, we don’t get a split between the different versions. Still though, there’s no doubt the Switch release makes up a healthy amount of that 3.3 million units.
Forced to transfer to a high school in Tokyo, the protagonist of Persona 5 Royal has a strange dream. “You truly are a prisoner of fate. In the near future, ruin awaits you.” With the goal of “rehabilitation” looming overhead, he must save others from distorted desires by donning the mask of a Phantom Thief. Find out where things go from here in Persona 5 Royal, available on Switch for $60.
