Where to Find an Alpha Hisuian Sneasel in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes place in the early years of the Pokemon universe when humans and Pokemon hardly lived side by side. The player will join the Galaxy Expedition Team as a member of the Survey Corps based in Jubilife Village (also known as Galaxy Team). This game is set in the Hisui region, later known as the Sinnoh region in the present Pokemon universe. To complete the Hisui region’s first-ever Pokédex, the player will need to catch every Pokémon species found there.

Where to Find an Alpha Hisuian Sneasel in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

There are Pokemon in the Hisui region that is larger than their common counterparts, have flaming red eyes, and are brimming with Wild Might, which elevates all of their characteristics, lessens the damage they take from status effects, and improves their combat skills. They are known as Alpha Pokemon.

This guide will teach us where to find an Alpha Hisuian Sneasel!

Alpha Pokemon

The level of the Alpha Pokemon is always higher than its regular counterparts. Except for Mantyke and Mantine, they are all hostile and never flee when they encounter the player (except when the type of Alpha Pokemon appears during a certain time of day or if a Space-Time Distortion appears around them). When an Alpha Pokemon finds the player, it will roar and send out a shockwave. The player might be stunned and knocked to the ground if they are close enough.

No matter what level the Alpha Pokemon is, the player can catch it by battling it before throwing a Poke Ball. The player won’t be able to do this, though, if their current obedience level is much lower than the level of the Alpha Pokemon. However, the player can avoid combat by sneaking up on Alpha Pokemon in tall grass or using stealth items before tossing a Poke Ball.

In addition, if the player is having trouble catching an Alpha Pokemon, they can raise their Star Rank, also known as their Survey Corps rank, by completing Research Tasks and talking with Professor Laventon in any of the Base Camps.

There are three different types of Alpha Pokemon in the game: fixed Alpha Pokemon, which always spawn in specific locations and have a fixed level; random Alpha Pokemon, which may only appear after the player has quelled the area’s frenzied Noble Pokemon; and Alpha Pokemon in Massive Mass Outbreaks, which may occur as a second wave in the same location as a Mass Outbreak’s first wave.

We will talk about fixed Alpha Pokemon, an Alpha Hisuian Sneasel since the other two are random.

Alpha Hisuian Sneasel

Hisuian Sneasel is a Fighting and Poison type Sharp Claw Pokemon with a white body that looks like that of a cat and a weasel, purple accents on its arms, shoulders, chest, and face, purple feathers on its ear and tail, a pair of round eyes with red pupils, a small mouth, a round golden gem on its forehead and its chest, a pair of arms with large claws on its hands, and a pair of feet that also has large claws on each foot. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, the Hisuian Sneasel’s claws are useful for climbing cliffs. Additionally, the tips of its claws are dripping with venom that can infiltrate the nerves of the prey it has caught.

An Alpha Hisuian Sneasel can be found northeast of Avalugg’s Legacy (east of Snowfall Hot Spring or southwest of the Pearl Settlement) in the Alabaster Icelands and the area mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Hisuian Sneasel that can be found in this location is a Level 61 Pokemon.

It is recommended to sneak up behind the Alpha Pokemon using tall grass and/or other stealth items like Smoke Bombs and toss the player’s Pokemon or Poke Ball on the Alpha Pokemon’s back to catch it off guard to ensure that the player moves first in a fight.

If you want to use food to lure the Hisuian Sneasel before capturing it, you should know that it likes Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.

Additionally, suppose you plan on battling a Hisuian Sneasel. In that case, it is worth noting that, as mentioned, Hisuian Sneasel is a Fighting and Poison-type Pokemon, which means it has a weakness to Flying-type, Ground-type, and especially Psychic-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Dark-type, Fighting-type, Grass-type, Poison-type, Rock-type, and especially Bug-type moves (not very effective).

Aside from the Alpha Hisuian Sneasel that can be found in the Alabaster Icelands, the regular, non-alpha Hisuian Sneasel can also be found in the Coronet Highlands (Celestica Trail and Primeval Grotto) and other parts of the Alabaster Icelands (also in Avalugg’s Legacy and in Glacier Terrace) and can also be found here at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

Now that the player has an Alpha Hisuian Sneasel, the player can try to use the Alpha Hisuian Sneasel to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
