GTA 5: The Civil Border Patrol Mission Guide (Gold Medal)

Trevor tags along with the members of The Civil Border Patrol.

As a long-time resident of Sandy Shores, Trevor knows exactly how the people in the area behave. So when he spots two oddballs checking out some cars in a local parking lot, he approaches them to find out what they are up to.

The Civil Border Patrol is the first mission in a series of Strangers and Freaks Missions between Trevor Philips and members of The Civil Border Patrol Joe and Josef. Trevor tags along as members of The Civil Border Patrol attempt to bring in illegal immigrants at Yellow Jack Inn.

The Civil Border Patrol Synopsis

While driving along Alamo Sea, Trevor spots two men checking out a couple of vehicles outside a building. Trevor approaches both men but is stopped and asked for documents to prove that he is not an illegal immigrant.

One of the men, Josef, asks for Trevor’s passport in Russian. Trevor tells both men that he cannot understand what they are saying. Despite this, Josef still asks for Trevor’s passport in Russian, which deeply annoys Trevor as he cannot understand what Josef is trying to say.

Before things escalate, Josef’s partner, Joe, stops the charades and commends Josef for a well-done job. Joe explains to Trevor that his conversation with Josef was a training exercise designed to keep illegal immigrants out of the border.

Joe tells Trevor that there is a real immigration problem going on lately, which is why Joe and Josef formed the Civil Border Patrol. Not soon after, Joe receives a text, presumably from someone who spotted a few illegal immigrants over the hills. Joe asks Trevor to join them, and the trio head to the Yellow Jack Inn.

Once they arrive, Trevor heads for the Yellow Jack Inn but finds nothing. The band in question was already outside, making a run for it. Trevor stops their car by shooting at the tires. He then proceeds to stun the men with his stun gun.

With the men subdued, Joe thanks Trevor for a well-done job and tells him he and Josef will handle things from there.

• Mariachi My Ride: Steal the band’s Tornado after stunning them
• Stop the Music: Stop the band within 40 seconds

All Gold Medal objectives for this mission can be completed through multiple replays. You can come back another time and replay the mission to get the rest of the Gold Medal objectives.

The Civil Border Patrol Mission Guide

Drive Joe and Josef to the Yellow Jack Inn.

Upon arrival, get inside Yellow Jack Inn and look for the immigrants.

Before you leave the front door, switch to your rifle, then quickly get out of the pub.

Get ready to shoot down the car’s tires. This will stop the band members’ escape and get you the Stop The Music Gold Medal Objective.

The band members will give up and throw their hands up. Use your stun gun to subdue them.

Get in the band’s car to complete the Mariachi My Ride Gold Medal Objective.

Wait for Joe and Josef to load up the band members in the patrol car before you leave.

Illegal Immigrant Control

Plenty of characters project a strong sense of duty in GTA 5, but none are as passionate and driven as Joe and Josef. Trevor will encounter the pair a few more times in GTA 5; Illegal Immigrant is just the first of a few encounters with The Civil Border Patrol.

Getting a Gold Medal should be a piece of cake in this mission. Make sure you stop the band by shooting at their car’s rear tires. After which, switch to your stun gun and remove all the men with the stun gun. With all men subdued, they get inside their escape vehicle but don’t drive off just yet; they wait for Joe and Josef to load all the men into the patrol car.
