New Kirby manga in the works
It certainly seems like a popular time for Nintendo franchises getting manga adaptations. A Fire Emblem Engage manga just saw its prologue release this month, and now we’ve learned that a new Kirby manga is in the works as well.
This upcoming manga will be titled Star Kirby, and it’s being written by Katou Minori. Minori is the manga artist for Assemble! Animal Crossing and other shoujo related manga such as Asobi ni Kita-kun and Koisuru Shougakusei – Chiccha na Mune no Tokimeki. From what we can tell, Star Kirby will be a slice-of-life comedy manga.
Star Kirby will see its debut in the March 3rd, 2023 issue of Ciao Magazine in Japan. As you might have guessed, there’s no word on a localization at this time. If one does come about, it’ll likely be quite deep into the manga’s Japanese run. We’ll certainly keep our eyes peeled for any news on that front.
