CGRundertow SSX for Xbox 360 Video Game Review
SSX review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of SSX for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
It’s not Tricky. Or 3, or On Tour, or any of the other previous incarnations of EA’s flagship XTREEM SNOWBOARDING franchise. No, this reboot takes the concept of people flinging themselves down mountains at stupid rates of speed, and actually attaches some consequences to those actions, much like Nintendo’s 1080 series did back in the day. Granted, only certain game modes have the possibility of death, and there’s always a rewind button for fixing your mistakes, leaving this one in a limbo between “improvement on an already-great series” and “deviation from an already-great series.” Regardless of your history with it, though, it’s certainly worth at least a taste. A taste of snow and BLOOD.
