Get a look at some more silver-bordered Pokémon cards

Last year it was announced that Pokémon trading cards would be switching from the iconic yellow border to the silver border used in Japan, but now we know exactly when. The Pokémon Company have announced via the Pokémon TCG twitter that the upcoming Scarlet and Violet set, releasing on March 31st, will bring silver borders to the West. Along with this announcement, they also gave us a look at a few upcoming cards featuring new Pokémon from Scarlet and Violet, pictured both above and in the tweet below.

As previously stated, the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet and Violet set will launch on March 31st, 2023, and it will mark the end of yellow-bordered Pokémon cards for the foreseeable future. This move may upset some Western Pokémon TCG collectors, but at least Japanese cards won’t stick out as much in your collection.
