EA Survey Polling on Whether Fans Want Sequel to the Dead Space Remake
The Callisto Protocol may not have been able to live up to the hype, but the Dead Space remake was pretty well-received when it launched this year. We know there are two more Dead Space games in the original trilogy, but it looks like EA still wants to make sure that fans really want them to be remade.
As per game developer Dillon Rogers (via Video Game Chronicle), EA has been sending out surveys asking fans if they would be open to a remake of the next two Dead Space games. Here’s the post:
Though some remakes manage to miss the mark with original fans, there was nothing but praises sung for Dead Space, as the 2008 game was brought to the next generation of gaming. While I’m sure that there would be a lot of hype for the remake of the second game, I think EA would do best to just do an overhaul of the third game, as it wasn’t the best received in the entire trilogy.
While EA is still mulling over whether to work on more Dead Space sequels, at least we know that the current remake is a great entry point for gamers unfamiliar with the franchise.
Here’s the official description for the game:
Prepare to unravel a thrilling mystery in the darkest depths of space.
When Isaac Clarke and the USG Kellion were dispatched to repair the USG Ishimura mining vessel, they had no idea how quickly a routine mission could turn into a complete nightmare. What did the Ishimura crew discover in the darkness? What happened to them? And what does this mean for the future of mankind itself?
Dead Space is now available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
