Bethesda’s Starfield Finally Gets Launch Date

We may not be getting the next Elder Scrolls game anytime soon, but studio Bethesda is currently hard at work with their new title Starfield which is likely to take the usual Bethesda RPG format and bring it to a sci-fi world.

Just, we have the official announcement for a launch date, plus a special showcase for the game this June. Check this out:

We don’t have a description for the story, but the logline for the video does read: Get ready to embark on an epic journey when Starfield, the first new universe in 25 years from Bethesda Game Studios, launches on September 6, 2023.

While Bethesda has been teased for taking the same game format and just changing the aesthetics around it like with Elder Scrolls or Fallout, a lot of hype is surrounding the release of Starfield, which is a new original franchise from the studio.

We don’t know exactly how Starfield will set itself apart from other AAA space exploration games like No Man’s Sky or The Outer Worlds, but I can suspect that we’re going to be thrust in a rich new world, and it’s also going to have some extensive storytelling to help bring it all to life.

I guess for now, all we can really do is wait for Starfield Direct in June. With a game releasing in September, maybe we can have a preview sometime around May. Then again, that’s just my guess.

Starfield is set to launch this Sept. 6. The Starfield Direct showcase will take place on June 11.
