Naecken’s Pond Part 3
Jump over the lily pads in the pond to get to a stretch of mud. Wade through the mud and onto the rock, then the lily pads.
Continue right over the lily pads. After the monster attempts to get you, quickly jump across the lilypads until you find another stretch of mud. Wade through the mud towards the camera, taking care to go left of the root blocking your way.
Keep going until you find yourself in a grassy area. Continue right to find some very unfortunate mushroom-people.
In this section of the game, you want to hide behind cover whenever the monster lets out a sonic attack, and run between cover while it is playing the viola. You should sprint to make it to the next piece of cover, because otherwise you won’t make it there in time.
Go right, hiding behind tree stumps, and then jump across the gap and hide behind the rock to the right.
For the next bit of cover, sprint forwards, jump the gap and hide behind another rock along the right. Continue to another rock on the right (it’s partially obscured), and then go over the gap and hide behind the rock to the left.
Proceed right to the tree and here, wait for the falling rocks. Time your running so that you are under cover of the falling rocks when the monster makes its attack. This might take a few tries. Be sure to wait for the attack behind the falling rock – you cannot run the stretch otherwise.
At the rocky area ahead, remember to crouch so that you’re fully covered. If you don’t crouch, the attack will get you. Go right from the rocky area, past another falling rock, and take cover behind the upright wooden log. Continue forwards and up the ledge to finally be safe from the sonic attacks.
Now crouch through the grass ahead, going right, to avoid the monster. Once you’re down the slope, you’ll be safe from the monster.
In the watery cavern, keep going right with your light for assistance. Climb the ledges and jump the gaps as you go. When you reach the end of the path, in daylight, go up the ledge that’s away from the camera.
Now, you’ll have to navigate Olle through the water. Just make sure you avoid the rocks and obstacles that get in his away, going left or right as necessary. Keep going until the sequence ends.
