Renegade Reloaded – A classic beat em up for the Amstrad CPC now features scrolling!
In 1988 Ocean Software ( Imagine Label ) released a fine beat ’em up for the Amstrad CPC, C64 and ZX Spectrum. It was a great title that had either single player or two player gameplay with you playing as street fighters known only as Renegade in a revenge against a kingpin named “Mr. Big” for murdering their brother. Well if you remember this fine game from the 80’s you’ll be pleased to know that if you have an Amstrad CPC, you can play the newest of releases called ‘Renegade Reloaded’; A new CPC version of the game which now features scrolling by Geco!
Here is what was said via the cpcwiki forums “New features has been added to the best Renegade version, which I think was even better than the Arcade version. Scrolling has been added based on the Enterprise version, just I could not use the 4 pixel hardware scrolling, therefore the game is a bit slower during scrolling, but runs on the same speed if there is no screen scrolling. Big thanks to TotO for the great new graphics for added movements and for the idea to implement it, and for great help testing the Enterprise version few years ago, and now the CPC version”
