Check Out HBO-Inspired Skins from The Last of Us Part I on PC

The Last of Us on PC may not have had the best launch, but it certainly hasn’t stopped anyone from checking out the game on the platform. As it turns out, beating the game will unlock some HBO-inspired cosmetics for Ellie, and thanks to @DomTheBombYT, you can check them out here:

I actually thought that it wouldn’t make sense for Ellie to be sporting a Game of Thrones shirt, but the show did premiere in 2011, and the video game timeline does mark the outbreak year at 2013.

I guess what’s cool is that Ellie gets to wear a Mortal Kombat II shirt this time. The game was originally supposed to feature Mortal Kombat, but since Naughty Dog couldn’t get the rights, they just ended up making their own fictional fighter game. It wasn’t until the HBO series where Ellie was given an interest in the actual Mortal Kombat title, and there’s an entire episode dedicated to her playing it with her friend Riley.

Like I said, The Last of Us didn’t have the best launch when it came to PC, and multiple crashes had been reported with several bugs being revealed online. As it turns out, Naughty Dog had outsourced a different company to bring the game to PC; and now they’re all scrambling to release patches to make the game work better.

Now I’m just waiting for those Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey mods to add to the Joel and Ellie character models.

The Last of Us Part I is now available on PC and PlayStation 4|5.
