Overwatch 2: Watch Origin Story for Lifeweaver
Blizzard just gave us the gameplay reveal for Overwatch 2’s next hero Lifeweaver, and though we already know how he plays, it’s a completely different thing when we get updated on his lore.

The nature-loving inventor left his luxurious lifestyle behind and set out on a noble mission to make the world a better place with his signature technology: biolight.
Though the character of Symmetra is all about perfection and altering reality, it seems that Lifeweaver is going to be her opposite when it comes to personality and powers. While Symmetra deals with absolute shapes and geometry, Lifeweaver’s biolight is a lot more ‘natural’ in its growth, and can even heal others.
It’s definitely going to be interesting to see how the two would react with one another, seeing that Lifeweaver has gone against the Vishkar Corporation, the very same company that makes use of Symmetra’s talents as an ‘architech’. Whereas Lifeweaver seems to value all kinds of life and its beauty, Symmetra has always been translated as cold and wanting a ‘perfect reality.’
I guess it’s also worth mentioning that Lifeweaver is a pansexual character, and the Blizzard developers have been saying that it’s going to be clearly reflected in his voice lines and interactions.
Lifeweaver launches on Overwatch 2 on April 11. Overwatch 2 is currently available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4|5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
