Bethesda Teases Haunted Middle School in Ghostwire: Tokyo Update

It’s been a year since the release of Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the game didn’t really receive sparkling reviews when it came out. However, that isn’t going to stop the devs from trying to expand on the world.

As per Bethesda, the new update for the game called the Spider’s Thread Update adds new mysteries and never-before-seen areas to the game, adding a lot more spooks to this cyber-horror adventure. Check out the post:

One of the main additions to the DLC is the Spider’s Thread mode, which will a roguelite challenge that will have players fighting floor-by-floor facing different enemies along the way. This will also include some new areas to explore, like the haunted middle school being teased in the post.

Besides the roguelite mode, the update also promises some expanded cutscenes from the main story as well as an updated ‘deeper’ version of combat and new enemies.

Since the game is also all about the visuals, an updated photo mode has also bee added which will allow players to add stamps to their screenshots and unlock figures at capsule machines.

Here’s the description for the Spider’s Thread update:

Something different is looming in Tokyo. New otherworldly threats, strange occurrences and ghostly sightings have been spotted in the city – are you ready to dive into the unknown and save the day?

Ghostwire: Tokyo – Spider’s Thread is set to launch on April 12. The game is currently playable for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
