Street Fighter 6 Reveals Incoming DLC Characters for
The roster for Street Fighter 6 is still pretty bare, but we should expect the game to give us some new DLC characters as the year trudges along. Just in, Capcom has revealed four incoming fighters intended to drop in the first year of the game’s release.
Check this out:
Here’s the official description:
Four fighters join the Street Fighter 6 roster in our first year after launch! Rashid returns in Summer 2023. A.K.I. struts into the roster in Autumn 2023. Ed strikes back in Winter 2024. The legend, the beast, the transcendent Akuma will rage into Street Fighter 6 in Spring 2024!
All four of these characters are also incorporated into World Tour where you can learn their Special Moves and increase your bond. Year 1 Characters are also included in the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of Street Fighter 6.
The completely new character coming in the pass is AKI who looks to be some kind of robot lady, which shouldn’t be that weird for a franchise like Street Fighter. Rashid and Ed were both playable characters in Street Fighter V, and Akuma has been hanging around since Street Fighter II; with SFV giving Akuma a new, more fiery appearance, this DLC version looks to have been changed even more, with him having white hair.
We don’t know who else could be coming to the game, but a lot of people are definitely excited for some familiar characters to be coming back. Hopefully we get a gameplay reveal soon.
Street Fighter 6 launches for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 2, 2023.
