Cosy game enjoyers among you may have seen that Perfect Garbage is working on a new genre mashing game called Grave Seasons. The adorable pixel graphics and comparisons to Stardew Valley have got us excited for a Grave Seasons release date, whenever that day comes.

Described by the developer as a murder mystery farming sim, Grave Seasons sees you tending your crops, getting to know the villagers, and trying to protect them from getting murdered. Every time you start the game, a random NPC becomes the murderer and you must figure out who it is all while trying to find romance and keep your farm afloat.

The game has already garnered a lot of attention on Twitter, especially in the cosy gaming and indie development communities. Despite this incredibly positive reaction to Grave Seasons, the developer tweeted in 2021 that their pitch had been repeatedly rejected before they started working with Perfect Garbage. Those other studios don’t know what they’re missing.
