Google launches Android foldable with Pixel Tablet and 7a
Pre-orders are now live for Google’s new foldable phone, the Pixel Fold. It comes alongside the Pixel Tablet and Pixel 7a – an upgraded version of Google’s flagship launched in October last year.
The Pixel Fold boasts the best camera and most-durable hinge on a foldable, as well as the highest-rated security features. This is all according to Google, of course – Google performed the durability test itself, not a third party – so take it with a pinch of salt.
The specs look good – 120Hz OLED screens, Google’s latest processor, 12GB RAM, up to 512GB, and a claimed 24-hour battery life. We have to get our hands on it before we can really make a judgment, but with a price set at $1899 (£1,749), this is very expensive compared to the competition, so it needs to have the specs to match the price tag.
