SUPPORT THE CHANNEL :

It’s the 4th of July and that means it’s AMERICAS BIRTHDAY…and as a retro gaming channel it’s my patriotic duty to SOMEHOW tie a federal holiday into a video game theme! So it’s Metal Wolf Chaos time! The most American video game ever developed by a Japanese company and an absolute gaming hidden gem!

You know FROM Software…the developers of Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Sekiro and Elden Ring? Well they also made Armored Core…which means they were the perfect developers to make Metal Wolf Chaos on the original Xbox. Microsoft wanted some cross region games that would appeal to both retro gamers in the United States as well as the Japanese gaming crowd…and out came Metal Wolf Chaos! It’s a mech action game that’s a total retro gaming hidden gem. Funny enough it never came out in the US on the original Xbox…which means Microsoft failed at their own goals!

It feels like a mix of Metal Gear Solid meets Armored core in all the best ways! I am playing the Xbox original vs the remastered version available on modern consoles / for PC Gaming…just because I felt like it?

But its one of the weirdest video games of all time and its PERFECT for July 4th!
