Yet more evidence for a Red Dead Redemption remaster has appeared, this time on Rockstar’s website – WGB, Home of AWESOME Reviews
The evidence for a Red Dead Redemption remaster continues to pile up. You might remember that last month South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee, which has a long record of leaking games, rated a new version of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, sparking discussion that a remake might be coming. That was then followed up by Colin Moriarty of Last Stand Media mentioning that he had been shown definitive proof that the remaster is real, and may even be announced in August.
Now, there seems to be even more evidence that something is happening. Twitter user Tez2 tweeted out that Rockstar has updated their website, and within the updated games list is mention of “Red Dead Redemption (Rockstar Presents Ver).” Tez2 also noted that it had the codename “RDR1RSP” which Tez2 speculated could stand for Red Dead Redemption Remaster SP. It could also potentially stand for Red Dead Redemption Rockstar Presents.
Rockstar’s new site update, live an hour ago, added a new reference within the games list.

A new logo was also updated with the “Rockstar presents” branding above the game’s name.
This certainly seems to point to a new version of the game being readied. However, in the interest of fairness, the update could be to simply add the “Rockstar presents” branding to bring the game in line with Rockstar’s other titles.
With that said, I am become increasingly convinced that Rockstar will indeed be releasing a remaster, perhaps finally bringing the game to PC in the process.
