Flashback 2’s neon-lit New Washington lights up this classic revival

When Flashback 2 launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One on November 16, we’ll be whisked away on a platforming adventure in a cyberpunk universe. The game’s latest trailer gives us a look at the vibrant megalopolis of New Washington.

While we saw the original Flashback receive a port on the Xbox 360 and then an enhanced Xbox One port with Flashback 25th Anniversary in 2018, Flashback 2 will be the first time we’ve had a new story to explore since the original game launched in 1992.

Directed by the original creator, Paul Cuisset, Flashback 2 sees Conrad B. Hart fight against the Morph invasion led by General Lazarus. In the game’s latest trailer, we’re given a look at the megalopolis of New Washington, where Hart is attempting to find his missing friend, while also coming face-to-face with the Triangle Mafia and Mechas.
