Ever wonder why the caves and tombs of Skyrim are so loud. I’ve been to a few caves in real life and they are some of the quietest places on earth. To resolve this immersion breaking issue I tried dePog’s Quieter Dungeons and Caves but quickly found out that it silenced some exterior sounds as well. So I made this mod for myself and figured I’d share with the community. There were some personal tastes I have that others might not share so I made a fomod installer that allows you to customize which sounds you wish to silence.
You may notice a rumbling sound when near certain fires or sconces. This is because the vanilla fire audio has a lot of base in it for some reason. Using the fire sounds from Audio Overhaul for Skyrim SE seems to mitigate the effect by quite a bit.
Compatability
It is fully compatible with just about everything. Make sure to install/load after other audio mods such as Immersive Sounds Compendium.
