Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition announced for PC and PS5 – WGB, Home of AWESOME Reviews
Following several accidental leaks, Sony has officially confirmed the existence of the Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition.
As you might expect given the name, this new edition bundles Horizon Forbidden West with the Burning Shores DLC. But you also get a few extra goodies in the form of a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, a digital comic book and a few extra poses for photo mode.
The new edition will launch on October 6th for PS5 and cost $59.99 USD / €59.99, which presumably means £54.99 for us in the UK. On top of that, PC players will also get the new Complete Edition, although they will have to wait until “early” 2024 to hunt some robot dinosaurs.
Last we heard Forbidden West had managed to sell around 8.7 million copies, so launching on PC should help shift a few more. The original Horizon Zero Dawn managed to sell about 2.39 million units on PC following its slightly rough release, so if the sequel does something similar it could push its total sales to over 10 million.
Sony isn’t planning to let the series rest, either, with about a million different projects planned including a TV series, animated show and multiplayer game. According to developer Guerilla games, there’s about 16 different Horizon projects ongoing. One of them is a third game, and some of them we already know about such as the comics and board games, but the rest are currently a mystery.
One thing is for sure, you’re going to be seeing a lot more of Aloy.
