Which October Xbox game are you most excited for?

That’s a wrap on another week and, indeed, another month as September draws to a close. We had some great releases this month, with the long-awaited Starfield finally warping onto our screens, and CD Projekt Red finishing their redemption arc with the phenomenal Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. It’s hard to see how October can match up to that kind of star power, but there are plenty of exciting releases to come.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage promises a throwback to earlier days of the parkour/murder experience (we’ll have our review out on wednesday next week ahead of launch). The second title in the Lords of the Fallen series is here to ruin filling systems by having the exact same name as the first one – come on folks, this is exactly what subtitles were invented for. Gearheads can also get behind the wheel of the new Forza Motorsport when it launches next week.

Personally, I can’t wait for Alan Wake 2 — I’m always here for whatever Remedy are doing and I was a massive fan of the original back on the Xbox 360.
