Xbox Live outage leaves some Xbox 360 players unable to get online

If you’ve been unable to connect to the Xbox network on your Xbox 360 or in backwards compatible 360 games on a Series X or Xbox One, you’re not alone. It appears there is an Xbox Live outage right now that’s affecting multiple users.

Reports of the outage started springing up on social media overnight, with multiple users saying they could no longer connect to Xbox Live and play online. The outage appears to be ongoing, as we’ve had several recent reports in our forums from TA users who are also experiencing issues on original Xbox 360 hardware and while playing backwards compatible games on the Series X.

Xbox Support’s Xbox Status page shows that all services are currently up and running, but for some players, this clearly isn’t the case. We’ve also seen no mention of the outage from the Xbox Support Twitter account.

Over the past couple of years, Xbox Live on the Xbox 360 has been a bit spotty. One of the last major outages lasted for several days before the service was restored. Hopefully, as this outage doesn’t appear to be as severe (it’s still early days yet, though), it shouldn’t be long before Microsoft rolls out a fix.

If you’ve been unable to connect to Xbox Live on your Xbox 360 recently, drop a comment down below and let us know where you’re located. Also, don’t forget to report the outage to Xbox Support.

Thanks to Vudix for the heads-up!
