Which is the best type of horror game?

It’s officially the spooky month, and while we’ve got a few weeks until halloween rolls around, that doesn’t mean we can’t get into the swing of things with some tasty horror games.

We’ve already put out our updated list of the best horror games on Xbox, but we want to know which kind of horror gets your heart pumping? Are you a survival horror aficionado, an action horror hero, or a classic horror fiend? Each genre has its unique strengths and weaknesses.

Personally? Well I’m a big baby so I tend to steer clear of the jump scares and ungodly tension of pure horror games. If I’m going to face a horrible monstrosity, I at least want to have a shotgun in my hands. With that said, there needs to be some tension, and survival horror nails that middle ground for me nicely.
