Diablo 4 gets 10-hour free trial for all Xbox players this weekend

If you’re yet to try Diablo IV, this weekend might be a great opportunity to explore the world of Sanctuary for yourself. All players on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, regardless of your Xbox Game Pass subscription, can now play ten hours of Diablo IV for free.

The trial is being offered by Microsoft via this weekend’s Free Play Days, but unlike the main three games on offer, the Diablo IV trial doesn’t require you to have an Xbox Game Pass Core or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to take part. With the Season of Blood kicking off, and Microsoft’s successful acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the ten-hour free trial comes at a great time, so it could be worth hopping in and checking out the action-RPG if you haven’t already.

Microsoft Rewards now offers Diablo IV Tier Skips and Battle Passes

Blizzard gave us a glimpse of Diablo IV’s Season of Blood earlier this month, which introduces five endgame bosses, a new questline focused on vampire-hunting, quality-of-life improvements, and more. Of course, there are also a host of rewards to unlock via the Diablo IV Season Pass for those of you looking to get the most out of the blood-soaked content.

All players can access the Seasonal Realm for free, as well as unlock some basic items via a free Battle Pass, but the majority of the 90 Tiers require you to purchase the Battle Pass. To coincide with the Season of Blood’s arrival, Microsoft Rewards members can now redeem X2 Tier Skips (1,700 points), the Battle Pass (9,000 points), and the Accelerated Battle Pass, which includes 20 free Tier Skips (22,500 points). You’ll obviously need the Microsoft Rewards Points spare to claim them, and they can be found under the ‘redeem’ tab on the Microsoft Rewards website.

Considering the base Battle Pass costs $9.99 and the Accelerated Battle Pass carries a price tag of $24.99, we’re all for being able to redeem them via Microsoft Rewards… although we do like watching our Microsoft Rewards Points number grow alongside our Gamerscore on Xbox!
