Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox release “on track” for December

Following a tease earlier this week, Larian has now announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch on Xbox in December, with a full release date reveal coming at The Game Awards.

“Xbox players, we hear you’re looking for more news on Baldur’s Gate 3,” Larian said in a post on Twitter. “The game is on track for a December release.

“We’ll see you at The Game Awards for the World Premiere of the exact release date.”

Now, with The Game Awards taking place on December 7, Baldur’s Gate 3 could launch anytime between December 7 and December 31. While it is possible that we could see the RPG shadow drop on the night, it does seem a bit unlikely. Whatever the case may be, it shouldn’t be too long now before you can finally start unlocking some Baldur’s Gate III achievements.

In other Baldur’s Gate 3 news, Larian’s optimization efforts for the Series S version of the game, which has proven a bit of a headache for the developer, could end up benefiting all versions of the RPG. Larian recently managed to reduce the game’s RAM and VRAM requirements on the console.
