Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges Guide Series 27 – Spring
Despite stepping out of my door into a winter wonderland this morning (yes, it snowed in Nottingham, UK), in Forza Horizon 5 it is now Series 27, Spring, and the hot season in Mexico.
What this means, as I‘m sure you know by now, is that a list of new events pop up in Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, in particular those suited to the last season of Series 27. And that means there is a lot more messing about in American cars to come.
Let’s get over there and warm up a bit, shall we?
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Built Ford Tough
The weekly challenge car for Series 27 – Spring hits peak American, as we have to choose between two pickup trucks – either a 1986 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat or the 2017 F-150 Raptor.
Not really a question is it? Would you rather have a truck named after a tie, or after a dinosaur? Raptor all the way, baby!
Should you not have one in your garage, the Autoshow can hook you up.
Chapter 1 – Everyday Utility
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!
Chapter 2 – Swifty 150
Now we need to win a dirt race in our chosen steed.
I have tuned the Raptor a tad, and the share code is : 251216374.
Chapter 3 – Weightlifter
Now earn three stars at Danger Signs in the truck. Can you fly, Bobby?
Chapter 4 – Just a Scratch
We now need to earn two Ultimate Wreckage skills. Go and crash into stuff!
Do all that and this week’s challenge will be done, pushing us five points closer to the final reward cars that are in place during Series 27. You should have plenty of points by now if you’ve been following our guides through the series.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
With that bit of fun over with, we are into the main body of the week now, with many races and stunts to try and win at. Are y’all ready? Last bit of American slang, I promise!
Only one Eventlab this week does make me a bit happier though…
The Trial – Kentucky Derby
For this series of races, we need to use Van and Utility class vehicles, tuned to a maximum of C Class 600. Not going to exactly be Fast & Furious, is it?
I went with a GMC Vandura (if it’s good enough for the A Team…) and the share code is :734285428.
We had great success again last week, luckily finding good racers who battered the driverbots easily. Hopefully this will happen again this week!
Should we manage to win two out of three races, a Chevy Camro ‘69 is ours.
Eventlab 1 – ALDIR097 Presents – Circuito Whitewolf
No sign of Geralt, sadly, but a race that sees us need a USA Super Saloon tuned to A Class 800. I went with a stock Lexus RC F, which is the only choice fresh out of the box!
This is a long track, so the race is only one lap, and it is very twisty and challenging. One of the better ones I’ve played.
The prize for completing this race is a Buick GSX
PR Stunt 1 – SpeedTrap – Paso Inferior
This week the tuning limit for these events is A Class 800, and the car has to be American. I went with a Mustang Boss 302, and the share code is : 144740677.
In order to best the seasonal objective, we need to hit the trap at over 100 mph, which seems easy enough, right? Apart from the whole dirt surface thing…
We get a Super Wheelspin in return though. Yep, we’re back in that circle of endless Super Wheelspins.
PR Stunt 2 -Speed Zone – East Coast
Same car requirements, but this time we need to have our average speed tested.
We need to clear the zone at over 100 mph, and so I went with Shelby GT500 from 2013, with share code : 402868577. Approaching from the right is a tad easier. Possibly.
Another Super Wheelspin awaits.
PR Stunt 3 – Trailblazer – Sand and Delver
Again, an A Class 800 car from the USA is needed, and this time we are very much offroad.
I went with the Mustang Boss 302 from above and the goal is to get to the finish line with over 20 seconds on the clock. Should be easy enough!
Yet another Super Wheelspin awaits. I now have over 50 in the list waiting to be spun…
Seasonal Championship 1 – Quarter Buick
Good lord – another week and yet again the puns get worse. Who would have thought it?
We need to use a Buick, believe it or not, and the tuning ceiling is C Class 600. I went with a Regal GNX. The share code is : 163919768.
For winning out, we can take home a Corvette ‘15. Better than a wheelspin…
Seasonal Championship 2 – Flow Rider
Isn’t he a rapper?
Anyway, what we need here is a Super Saloon, and luckily not from the USA. It does need to be tuned to A Class 800 though.
I chose a BMW M5 from 2009, and the share code is : 485527590.
Should we win out, a Jeep Trackhawk will be ours to take away.
Part 3: Other Challenges
Need more to get involved in than just the racing? Well, you’re in luck as that is the case again this week.
There’s the Photo Challenge, and a Treasure Hunt to try. There’s also some Horizon Tour Racing. Should keep us out of mischief, eh?
Photo Challenge – #BALANCINGACT
We need to go to the Valle De Las Ranas this week, take a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with us, and snap a photo in free roam mode. Simples, right?
See up top for my artistic effort, and below for the location.
The reward? A new piece of clothing, a lovely Green Suit. I’ve still not found anything better than a lovely dinosaur suit, but close. Woop.
Treasure Hunt – Top of the World
The clue for this hunt reads “Take this Ex-ceptional Off-Roader to the highest point in Mexico and you will be able to see the treasure”.
The picture shows an Exomotive Exocet, and I’m guessing the highest point is the Gran Caldera volcano, right? Well, I fast travelled to the top, and then drove up the side of the mountain until the notification popped!
The chest contains 100,000 credits, and the location is shown below.
Horizon Tour – Co-Op Championships
Time to race with others again, but this time in some races against driverbots, and in between times, some point to point racing. Simply complete the Tour to win big.
I can’t help with a tune as it could be any class, but it is well worth doing as the prize is awesome.
But what is that prize? Well, it’s only 8 whole points to the weekly totals! That’s nearly as much as the Trial…
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Forest Flume
This week, we have to use a car from the USA, and the tuning class is A Class 800. Same as the other challenges!
This time we need to average over 170 mph through the zone, and so I reached for the trusty Shelby GT500 from 2013, share code :402868577.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – Unlimited Power
We need a car from the Unlimited Offroad range, and so it is the turn of the Jeep Trailcat to shine, as it also needs to from the USA!
A Class 800 is the tune limit, and the share code for mine is :118411445.
Completing the championship will get us a Ford Cortina, which is nice.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt -Danger Sign – Canyon
Same restriction as the other PR stunts: American car tuned to A Class 800. Off road would seem to be key here, and so I went with a Mustang Boss 302, and the share code is : 144740677.
We need to clear over 220m to meet the seasonal objective, so a good run up is best.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.
Seasonal Championship – Superpowered
This championship needs a Modern Supercar, from the USA, and it needs to be tuned to S1 Class 900. Again, not a massive choice, so I went with a Lexus LFA again, and the share name for mine is Lexus LFA with my GT, REd620Ti. Imaginitive, I know!
For winning out, we can take away a Capri – Essextastic!
The latest Forza Horizon 5 rewards
With Series 27 completed you should have picked up the reward cars – a Cadillac CT-4 for 80 points, and for 160 pts it is a Ford F-150 from ‘86.
If you need a few extra points to get you over the line, the monthly Rivals challenges are here; Bahia de Plano Circuit for proper cars, and Linea Costera Sprint for EVs. Stick some clean laps in and Bob should be the brother of your mother. Although the EV we have to drive is rubbish! 4 points are on offer if you return clean laps for each one, so worth having a go at!
Grab enough points and Series 27 Spring also see you given access to the exclusive Rossion Q1 (nope, me neither) for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a 1962 Continental, another exclusive car.
Stick around if you need guides to the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges found in Series 28 that dawns next week. It is a bit of a mystery at the moment, but all shall be revealed at this time next week. Stay tuned!
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
