Game of the Year 2023: Round 10 – Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty vs Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

The TrueAchievements Game of the Year 2023 vote continues, and we’ve brought together 32 of the best Xbox games of the past year in a single elimination tournament that will be decided by you.

For round 10, hefty expansion Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is going up against Team Ninja’s new Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. It’s likely that Phantom Liberty will take the crown here, considering the popularity of Cyberpunk 2077 and how good the expansion was (check out Ian’s Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty review for more). However, Wo Long has seen over 130,000 TA members jump into the game, so it could still put up a fight.

As always, this tournament is just for fun and is a good way of kicking off discussions in the comments about this year’s best Xbox games. We will have the more traditional TA GOTY vote towards the end of the year.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a dramatic, action-packed story of a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty where demons plague the Three Kingdoms. Players fight off deadly creatures and enemy soldiers using swordplay based on the Chinese martial arts, attempting to overcome the odds by awakening the true power from within.
