Survival announced and it looks awesome – WGB, Home of AWESOME Reviews

During this year’s The Game Awards, developer and publisher Saber Interactive announced Jurassic Park: Survival, a horror game based on the classic Jurassic Park book and movies.

Coming to PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC, the game takes place several days after the events of the first movie and follows Dr. Maya Joshi, an Ingen scientist who didn’t manage to escape the island and is now faced with escaping an island where dinosaurs are hunting her.

Saber said that players will be, “challenged to survive an intense mix of first-person stealth and action in thrilling encounters with dinosaurs, each with their own distinct and adaptive behaviors brought to life by John Hammond’s vision.”

The trailer certainly looks impressive. It almost gives off Alien: Isolation vibes as the dinosaurs hunt Maya across the island, including locations taken straight from the movie, like hiding in a kitchen.

“As longtime fans of Jurassic Park, we’re truly honored to embark on this exciting journey,” said Saber CEO Tim Willits. “Our goal is to capture the magic and wonder of the iconic film by bringing a blend of long-time development expertise and a genuine passion for the source material.”

If Jurassic Park: Survival manages to do exactly what it promises, it could be something very special indeed.
