Available from tutorial chest, adds instruments that have 4 spell containers with various QoL spells, including a handy “Protection from the Dumb” spell, to safely cocoon NPC’s from craving death too hard (Invulnerability). Yes, another cheaty QoL item mod. It doesn’t do the cheating for you, but it’s available if you need/want it on occasion.

Requires:  Mod Fixer5e spells (for Prestidigitation and buff upcasting)
Optional: Script Extender (required for Respec and Reclaim/Break Oath, otherwise those spells don’t do anything [safely])

All instrument types available (and gives music proficiency on equip): Violin, Lyre, Lute, Drums, Flute

Container Spells:

  • Daily Buff Spells – The basic buff spells available if you had X level spells every day. You could cast all these using a party member that just sits at camp after every long rest, so having them available in a single AoE application is just QoL
  • Level 1 – Enhanced Leap, Darkvision, Longstrider, Guidance, Mage Armor, Speak with Animals
  • Level 2 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, and Aid (2nd level base)
  • Level 3 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, and Aid (3rd level)
  • Level 4 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (4th level), Freedom of Movement, and Death Ward
  • Level 5 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (5th level), Freedom of Movement, and Death Ward
  • Level 6 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (6th level), Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, and Heroes’ Feast
  • Level 7 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (7th level), Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, and Heroes’ Feast
  • Level 8 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (8th level), Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, and Heroes’ Feast
  • Level 9 – ^ Everything from Level 1, plus Detect Thoughts, Protection from Poison, Aid (9th level), Freedom of Movement, Death Ward, and Heroes’ Feast

  • Story Control Effects: 1 turn only, available in dialogs, keeps you from reloading if you’re being savescummy
  • Succeed Rolls – Gives +30 to rolls, can’t roll 1’s
  • Advantage – Simple roll with advantage for small boost
  • Fail Rolls – Gives advantage… but -50 to rolls (the game refuses to show bonuses unless there’s *some* upside to a -50)
  • Force Crit Rolls – You’ll roll a nat 20

  • Prestidigitation (Requires 5e spells, not optional)
  • Feather Fall
  • Protection from the Dumb – Can cast in combat and target NPC’s like Isobel, the Godians, or even mysterious portals to the Shadowfell, incapacitates them for 10 turns so they won’t do anything, and they’re invincible. Cast it on the target again to remove the status early, or use the help action.
  • Respec – Respec your character (Requires SE to function, but won’t crash if you don’t have it)
  • Reclaim Oath – For Paladins, reclaims your oath (Requires SE to function, but won’t crash if you don’t have it)
  • Break Oath – For Paladins, breaks your oath (Requires SE to function, but won’t crash if you don’t have it)

  • Daily Elixir Buffs: (Targets up to 6 people) In case you want to hand out buffs but don’t feel like keeping track of potions, remember self-moderation 🙃
  • Elixir of Hill Giant Strength – Sets strength to 21
  • Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength – Sets strength to 27
  • Elixir of Bloodlust – Temp HP and an extra action for killing something
  • Elixir of Viciousness – Reduces crit threshold by 1
  • Potion of Angelic Reprieve – Kinda like a short rest
  • Potion of Angelic Slumber – Basically like a long rest

How do I get the Instruments:
– They’re available from the tutorial chest like other mods usually do, and you can use a tutorial chest summoning mod mid-run if you’re past that point. I personally like Immersive Tutorial Chest Spawning and more by Syrchalis.

Multiplayer:
– Works fine in multiplayer, just as always make sure everyone has the exact same mods, mod versions, and load order.

Installation:
– Install using BG3MM (BG3 Mod Manager), order probably isn’t important, put it with your other item/equipment mods
– Requirements: Make sure you have a Mod Fixer and 5e spells, but SE is optional (needed for respec and oath spells)
Uninstallation:
– Should be safe to disable/uninstall as long as your save doesn’t currently have anyone under Protection from the Dumb, just remove it or wait for it to wear off.
