Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 hopes abound as Warhorse Studios announce new game reveal

Going back to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance achievements time and time again is a good way to while away the time while we hope for a sequel, and that announcement could perhaps be almost upon us. Warhorse Studios has announced an upcoming reveal of a new game, and rumours suggest it could be Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 — undoubtedly another contender for one of the best Xbox RPGs.

Now, to be clear, Warhorse Studios hasn’t confirmed that the new game will be Kingdome Come: Deliverance 2 (fair enough, since that would be robbing itself of its own announcement). We’ve been hoping for a sequel for years now, and those hopes have occasionally been parried with Warhorse’s entirely unexpected announcements (medieval soap, anyone?) but to be fair to Henry, the first game was so brilliant that any sequel would undoubtedly be worth the wait. Especially since, while excellent, Kingdom Come: Deliverance did have areas which could improve from some polishing. Perhaps with the medieval soap?

All we know so far is that Warhorse Studios will be revealing a new game next week on April 18. That was enough to get all our hopes up once more, and everyone’s speculating about Henry 2.0. But perhaps it’s not just wishful thinking: notable industry insider Tom Henderson did post about Warhorse’s announcement that “it is Kingdom 2,” while billbil-kun posted that “Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is here!” Again, none of this is official confirmation (and perhaps actually is wishful thinking) but the plus side is: it’s a new game, so it can’t be soap, and even if it’s not Kingdom Come 2, anything from the Kingdom Come devs will no doubt be very promising.
