Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 marches onto Xbox this year
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 launches on Xbox Series X|S in 2024
Much like the fantastic first game, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is a single-player action-RPG set within a civil war in 15th Century Bohemia. We’ll once again be playing as the brave Henry of Skalitz, who after climbing the social ladder from blacksmith to spring warrior, must now prepare to take on a king. In a quest to avenge his murdered family, Henry embarks on an adventure filled with “action, thrill, and wonder,” meeting a cast of colorful characters and taking on the king of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, and his allies.
During a recent digital preview we attended, Warhorse said that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will feature an area around twice the size found in the first game split across multiple maps. Every decision you make will shape Henry’s destiny and how the world reacts to him as a result of it — will he be a good, upstanding knight, a scoundrel perhaps, or maybe his grief will cause him to punish those he meets? Either way, with a crime system, an adaptable world, and new ways to interact with the citizens of Bohemia, you’re sure to know how everyone feels.
You’ll be free to customize Henry’s skills, appearance, and equipment as you dive into the medieval world, partaking in several activities like blacksmithing and archery — I think I even spotted some alchemy during the preview (I could be wrong). When exploring the world around you, you’ll be free to enjoy some countryside walks, relax in taverns, frequent bathhouses, explore castles, and more.
Of course, the brutal combat Kingdom Come Deliverance is known for returns, offering you the chance to master real-time battles on foot, horse, and stealth as you wield a host of weaponry, from swords and maces to crossbows and early firearms.
