Survivor may be launching on Game Pass Ultimate soon, as indicated by its appearance on EA Play – WGB
UPDATE: EA has now confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is officially joining EA Play on Thursday, April 25. As such, it will also become available to PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on the same day.
ORIGINAL STORY:Star Wars Jedi: Survivor looks set to appear on Xbox Game Pass very soon, likely in time for or on May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day.
The news comes via Reddit user nicksuperdx who noted that on the PlayStation storefront, Stars Wars Jedi: Survivor now has the option to either buy it or get it through the EA Play subscription.
I’ve checked the Xbox storefront and can confirm that the same option also appears there.
EA Play is bundled in with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions by default, giving players access to a heap of EA games on top of the regular Game Pass library. And so if Jedi Survivor has been added to the service or is in the process of being added, it should become available to Ultimate subscribers soon, too.
However, this could be an error on EA’s part. While Jedi Survivor was almost certainly going to be added to EA Play at some point, it’s odd that they would choose to do it so close to Star Wars Day on May 4th and not just wait.
So far the game has not appeared on the Game Pass app nor is it currently listed on the official EA Play website, further indicating that this might be a mistake on EA’s end and that it wasn’t meant to appear just yet.
Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is the sequel to the wildly successful Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It was released in 2023 to strong reviews, although fans were less than pleased by its performance issues which don’t appear to have been fully fixed even to this day. On Steam it has managed to go from mixed reviews to mostly positive ones lately though.
