My Chrysalis Highwayman Refurbished – Main Menu Music Replacer at Fallout New Vegas

Hi! This mod is a spiritual successor of sorts to the Main Menu Music Replacer – My Chrysalis Highwayman mod by benit0fettuccine. While I do enjoy the concept of that music replacer, the audio volume for the track used in that mod has not been adjusted to match the vanilla game’s menu music volume. This results in the main menu being uncomfortably loud to the point of me being unwilling to use the mod. But why let that stop me or you from the bliss of hearing one of Fallout 2’s greatest songs?

Description:
This mod changes the menu music of Fallout: New Vegas to the My Chrysalis Highwayman track from Fallout 2’s OST. The mod contains several versions, the sole difference of which is the volume of the sound file. The main file features a version of the song set to play at roughly the same volume as the original track, and never exceeds the original in decibels. The optional files are differing versions at -25% or -50% quieter than the default track, or 25% or 50% louder than the default track. If you feel New Vegas’ default main menu music was too loud, consider selecting a quieter version, or vice versa. As these files are all modifying the same file, you should only use one version of the mod at a time.

Installation:
Installation can be handled with Mod Organizer 2. If you wish to install manually, open the archive and copy the Music folder into New Vegas’ Data folder, prompting to overwrite when asked. If installing manually, I advise that you create a back up of the vanilla MainTitle.mp3 if you may wish to restore it later.
